Internships and Careers The Artful Life Counseling Center and Studio Art Expression Therapy—From Passion to Career Close Jeana Alfano ’20 Criminal Justice "Junior year I discovered expressive arts therapy, which is a field that uses various art modalities to help people express and visualize their emotions. For me, this was the first step to realizing that utilizing the arts in my career is what makes me feel fulfilled. This internship experience has put me on the right track in terms of unlocking what truly makes me happy." During her time at Endicott College, Jeana Alfano ’20 has struggled to visualize herself finding in a career related to her major, criminal justice. It wasn’t until her junior year that she discovered that her love for art and theater could be utilized in a future career. Read Jeana’s Story Gorton’s Seafood Identifying a passion for social media marketing Close Justin McCormick ’20 Marketing "I had such a fun time creating the social media concepts and making website updates for Gorton’s sub-brand, Hook Line and Savor, that it made me want to go pursue social media advertising/marketing even more than I already did." Majoring in marketing with a minor in graphic design, Justin McCormick was able to work on various projects during his semester-long internship for Gorton’s Seafood. During this time he gained valuable experience while also reigniting his passion for social media marketing. Read Justin’s Story Massachusetts State House Making an impact through state government Close Patrick Whalen ’20 Political Science "I know that being able to make a difference in my community, and seeing those changes I contributed to, left a big impact on me. I know I want to make a positive change in my world, this internship helped me discover that." Senior Political Science major, Patrick Whalen, completed his semester-long internship at the Massachusetts State House. Working alongside State Representative Michael J. Soter, Whalen gained perspective on the inner workings of a government organization. He explained that being immersed in the state government left a positive lasting impression on him.
